Our middle school is located in a very rural county of approximately 10,000 people. Many students have never left the county. They are bright and energetic, but have not had exposure to many cultural or historical venues. Ours is a public school, the only middle school in the county. We serve approximately 450 students of various ethnic groups. Many come from low socio-economic backgrounds. Their families are very supportive of the schools because many know the value of a good education and the importance of schools in helping their children become successful.
