Gift Cards Make the World go 'Round
Funded Sep 4, 2020Many of our donors love to have things personalized for them and students do too! Thank you for being so generous and helping this project come to life. With the teachers pay teachers gift cards I have been able to buy templates and fonts to make things special for the students before their first day. While having this gift card, I am able to purchase more than I typically would. So far this has allowed me to get the students first day activities (both paper and digital) as well as a digital planner to use this year.
Thank you again for donating to this project.”

Back to School Basics
Funded Sep 1, 2019Thank you everyone for donating to make this project come to life so quickly. I cannot wait for these basic school supplies to come in and keep our classroom running smoothly. These students rarely bring in the basic school supplies that are asked of them so by helping with donations, we will be able to take some of those supplies off their list. Every supply on the project already has a home once it arrives. I look forward to teaching the students how to use these supplies responsibly and appropriately throughout the school year. Thank you again.”

Funded Aug 22, 2019Thank you so much for helping to bring this project to life. I cannot wait to see the children come in and start the school year off with new books added to our library. This year my new set of students are avid readers. They had a great library in their second grade classroom and I can't wait for them to have an even more extensive library in their 3rd grade classroom. I look forward to sharing all these new materials with them! Thank you again for all your support in helping this project get funded.”

Funded May 16, 2019Even though our materials have yet to arrive, our students are very eager to see just what a white board table is. Our current students are getting ready to transition into 4th grade and that means they have had visits from the 4th graders, we thought it would be a good idea to have our kids visit the 2nd grade classrooms to talk about their year as 3rd graders. During their visit, they spoke about the new table our class will be getting. The 2nd graders are so excited to see what will be coming and can't wait to get to this classroom in September. Thank you for helping to make this project come true.
We greatly appreciate your support and donations.”

Funded Aug 1, 2018Thank you so much for helping this project come to light. We really enjoyed watching this project grow and now get funded. This was a great way for the students to start the school year and come back to headphones and new classroom books. Reading is such an important part of the curriculum at school and so is listening to the stories that they truly enjoy reading. Students gain such a different line of insight to a text when they can hear it being read and you all are to thank for making that happen. Thank you again!”

Be Prepared
Funded Aug 20, 2018Thank you so much for fully funding this project. My students were thrilled to come back to school to new supplies. They really enjoyed using their new folders for the first time. We love looking through our books in our new book bins and enjoy writing with our sharp pencils with our brand new pencil sharpener. Working in such a low income area, we forget that these little things go such a far way. I can't wait to watch the students grow and learn with all these supplies throughout the year. Thank you again for your support on this project.”

Funded May 18, 2018Thank you so much for helping this project come to fruition once again. As we all know, one of the keys to learning is reading and we all need to be interested in what we read. These books are going to open the flood gates of learning and reading for our students and we can't thank you enough. Getting these books just in time for the end of the school year is going to be great for our students because they are just about done with all of the books in our classroom library. Also, our new bunch of students next year are going to be so lucky to come into a classroom with a whole new set of books to look through. Thank you again for your generosity and sharing you compassion for reading with our classroom.”

Taking Charge of Our Reading
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you so much for helping to fund the Taking Charge of Our Reading project. The students cannot wait to get their hands on our Kindles. We needed these charging stations to make this happen. We have a class size of 28 and in order for them to use the Kindles, of course they need them to be charged! Having the Kindles charged up and ready to go will allow them access to e-books and online resources that regular paper books just cannot supply.
Also, thank you for the headphones. In our learning community we have a vision for a small learning center and with your donation and funding, you've now made this possible!”

Funded Aug 31, 2017Thank you so much for helping to fund out project of "kindle fires to inspire our desire for reading." My students have hit the ground running with these new pieces of technology in the classroom. They are using apps to read new books, taking quizzes on what they've read and even exploring new kid friendly websites to research their topics to complete nonfiction books to become the best authors they can be. Adding technology to the classroom opens up so many new doors for kids with special needs along with English language learners. We thank you as always for supporting our students and projects. Keep your eyes out for the next one to come. Happy holidays! xo”

Funded Sep 8, 2016The students have been using these mentor texts all school year. They have been able to increase their writing skills by paying attention to how a well established author writes and some of their natural characteristics. The students writing has improved greatly and we thank you for your donations to provide the books in our classroom library. The students love looking through the books and paying attention to authors craft and illustrations to make their writing more interesting. Keep an eye out for our next project soon!”
