iPad On Wheels
Funded Sep 29, 2022There are no words that can express my gratitude for your generous donation to my project. The iPad and Apple Pencil that we received through the project you helped fund has helped motivate my students especially when many times they do not want to be pulled-out from their class for their Hearing Education sessions.
My students are always eager to use the iPad and Apple Pencil whether it is for reading, writing, researching, studying, or anything at all. With such eagerness to use our new resources, my teaching has become easier and my students' learning as well as engagement has increased.
Additionally, the iPad has helped reduce the amount of paper we use. We no longer need to print out paper materials since we now have digital versions of everything.
As an educator for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, I am constantly looking for ways to motivate my students and you have helped steer my students in the right direction. Without donors like you, students like mine don't have the opportunity to shine brighter.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Gomez

Funded Dec 20, 2014My students were super excited when we received our iPad mini and case. They were amazed and could not believe people wanted to support students like them. They could not contain themselves, wanting to rip open the box to see our classroom's new resource.
Once we opened the box we received, my students could not wait to get their hands on the iPad mini. They quickly wanted to download games, forgetting that technology is not only used for playing. I explained the iPad mini can be used to play games but we would mostly use it to enhance learning and make our Interactive Learning Center better.
With the iPad mini my students independently practice their weekly spelling words, do math drills, look up unknown word, and more. The iPad mini has also helped reduce the amount of paper we use. We no longer need to print out flash cards or other paper materials since we now have digital flash cards, etc. My students are always eager to use the iPad mini. With such eagerness to use our new resource, my teaching has become easier and my students' learning has increased.
My students are now more motivated to learn and work.”

Funded Sep 1, 2013My students were super excited when we received our laminator and laminating pouches. They were surprised and happy that people support students like them. They were smiling from ear to ear and couldn't wait to rip open the box and see our classroom's new resources.
Once we got the shipping box open, their excitement couldn't be contained. They were quick to want to laminate something or anything. I had to explain that we couldn't abuse the resources given to us and had to use them wisely. I explained that the laminator and laminating pouches would help conserve our flash cards, visual aids, and any paper materials we use on a daily basis. I also told them that we could laminate any special project and they are thrilled about having that opportunity.
Now we have laminated flash cards, visual aids, and paper materials that will last us the entire school year if not longer. My students are eager to use those flash cards and they love our visual aids especially since they helped to laminate them. With such eagerness to use our laminated materials, my teaching has become easier and my students' learning has increased especially since they need so much repetition to retain information.
My students now feel important and accomplished thanks to you.”

Funded Mar 1, 2012There are no words that can express my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The cameras that we received through the project you helped fund have helped motivate my students. They want to express themselves how they know best. We've used the cameras to create poetry and ASL stories. We've used them to improve on reading and the cameras are especially helpful to me with reading assessments. The cameras are used in my classroom and are gladly shared with other classrooms.
Literacy has come to life in my classroom. We are taking advantage and using the cameras for literacy across all subjects.
As an educator for the deaf and hard-of-hearing, I am constantly looking for ways to motivate my students in literacy and you have helped steer my students in the right direction. Without donors like you, classrooms like mine don't have the opportunity to shine.”
