We will use the stem kits and materials to explore concepts and provide the opportunity to problem solve. These lessons can be competed at home and shared online as needed. The concrete and sensorial exploration sets the stage for verbalization of concepts learned. Students will share the procedures they followed and their conclusions with their classmates. Hands on learning gives the child the opportunity to explore, discover and manipulate their world. The process of exploration and discovery leads students to answer questions about the world around them. This in turn allows concepts and vocabulary learned to move into long term memory.
