21st Century Learning Without Tech?
Funded Mar 9, 2016I am writing to you to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity. Your donation has truly changed the educational lives of my students. You have brought their learning into the 21st century. Not to mention, the students are beyond excited and engaged to use the Chromebooks.
Specifically, I intend to implement Google Classroom using the Chromebooks. This will allow me to go "green" in my classroom! It will also allow my students the opportunity to complete assignments virtually. Students will be able to work together on the same projects, research new topics, and revise their work with ease all from their very own Chromebook.
I can't put into words the look of pure awe on my students' faces first when I announced that our project had been funded and then again when the Chromebooks arrived in our classroom. The excitement roared through our classroom the first time the students held their very own Chromebook in their hands. This excitement was followed by complete engagement.
I can't wait to get to explore all of the possibilities the Chromebooks hold for my classroom and my students' education. I truly appreciate your amazing generosity and can not thank you enough for changing both my students' educational lives and my instructional life!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Taylor
Creating a Google Classroom Using Chromebook Flips
Funded Dec 18, 2015Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. The Chromebook Flip has already made a tremendous impact on student learning. We have been using the Chromebook Flip to track student growth and progress in reading fluency. The students are always so excited to chart their growth on the Chromebook Flip. Students have also been using the Chromebook to go to interactive math websites and practice their math fluency. The students are so excited and engaged by this piece of technology. I can not say thank you enough!”

Creating Leaders One Student at a Time
Funded Mar 10, 2015Thank you so much for your amazing generosity! My students are blown away by the fact that complete strangers care about them and their education enough so to donate money to buy us a rug. This rug is helping to build the community within our classroom. We use it everyday to hold class meetings and discussions. The students enjoy sitting comfortably on the floor while working with their peers. The students are excited to be called to the rug and look forward to opportunities in which they can be gathered with their classmates. Your donation has boosted our morale and helped to engage our students. Thank you!”

Engaging Math Students through Technology
Funded Feb 25, 2014Thank you so much for your generosity! My whole school is blown away by your kindness and dedication to the education of our students. In this financially difficult time for school districts, it is people like you who will be the positive difference in the lives of school age children everywhere.
The Study Island interactive web-based program is a highly engaging resource that allows students to practice their math skills in a fun and interesting means. The students always love using the computers to go on Study Island. Due to budget restraints, our school was unable to pay for the school wide membership this year. This left many students and teachers very disappointed. The students would always ask "Can we practice this on Study Island?" The teachers loved being able to track individual student growth through the website.
With your donation we will be able to use the program for the remainder of this school year and going well into next year! I am confident that there will be a major, significant, and positive impact on the learning of all students that will be measurable for the teachers!
Thank you once again for providing this extremely valuable and highly engaging resource for our students.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Taylor
Art is Important!!!
Funded Nov 14, 2013Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. The students were so excited to hear that our project received funding! They could not believe that there were people who cared so much about their education.
It was like Christmas morning for the students when the materials began to arrive! Every time a custodian would show up at the door with another box there was a collective gasp from the whole class. Every student volunteered to help open up the boxes, organize the materials, and put them in the correct areas in our Art Center.
We will use the paper you so generously donated to our classroom in many ways and throughout many subject areas. Art is an excellent way of engaging students in content and allowing students to explore their own learning and understanding of the lesson at hand. Once again, we can not say Thank You enough!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Taylor
Keep Art in Our Classroom!
Funded Oct 4, 2013Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. Your donations have provided my classroom and the students in my classroom with a wealth of art resources. The looks on the students faces as boxes of art materials were wheeled into the classroom was priceless! They could not believe that "strangers" cared so much about their education. All the students were so excited and grateful. They couldn't wait to open up the boxes and help organize our new materials.
Just today we used our new art supplies during our Social Studies lesson. The students are learning about cultures around the world and the first country we are talking about this year is China. The students used the art supplies you provided for them to create their very own Chinese scrolls.
Once again, thank you for your generosity and for caring about education!”

Keep Art In Our Classroom!
Funded May 21, 2013Thank you so much for your generous donation! When the custodian at our school rolled the art shelf (fully assembled) into our classroom, the students let out a collective gasp. One student even said "Oh! How beautiful!" The excitement quickly spread throughout all of the students. The students immediately started volunteering to help fill the shelf with our art supplies. They loved having the opportunity to organize our art materials and have everything stored in a neat, central location in our classroom. The students even began to make suggestions such as "We should label the bins so we know what is in there!"
The shelf will be used in many ways in our classroom. It is storing our art materials as well as materials we use during Word Work. The students help themselves to the very organized materials when needed and know exactly where to put the materials back when done. During whole group art projects, the teachers/adults in our classroom can quickly locate needed items and proceed with the lesson at hand.
Our spirits are definitely lifted. We all feel so grateful to know that there are people out there who care about the education of students today. I am inspired to be the best teacher I can be as a means to show my gratitude for your generosity. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

Creating Second Grade Readers and Writers
Funded Mar 15, 2012I would like to express my gratitude for your generous donations to my classroom. We have received the bookshelf, began using it right away, and immediately it has made a difference in our classroom! The students are able to keep all of their ELA materials in their individual Book Boxes. These Book Boxes are stored on the bottom two shelves. When it is time to begin our ELA work, the students are able to quickly get their Book Boxes, find a place in the classroom to work, and get started right away. This quickness has added precious instructional time into our day. The class no longer has to wait for all students to find and gather their materials. I am able to provide longer lessons to the students and do not have to include so much wait time. Your generosity through your donations has made a difference in the education of my second graders!”

Primary Teaching Easel
Funded Nov 6, 2011Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. The easel has already been a wonderful educational resource for my students! We use the easel in many ways throughout the day.
During whole group instruction I use the easel to model the strategies and skills I am teaching to the students. It has really benefited the students to be able to have a visual of what I am teaching! During our ELA time individual students use the easel as a Word Work choice. They practice their spelling as well as handwriting. Practicing their spelling words with the dry erase markers on the easel is an engaging activity for the students and it helps them to enjoy practicing their spelling! During our Math time individual students use the easel to practice their Math skills! Some students choose to practice writing simple math facts. Other students practice multi-digit addition and subtraction. They really like writing large numbers on the easel to try to add and subtract. The students also will write their own word problems on the easel, circle the "key words" in the problem, and then proceed to solve the problem they created.
I can not thank you enough for your generosity and interest in education. During these financially trying times in which teachers need to do more with much less, your donation has really made a difference in my classroom!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Taylor
