• South Bronx Needs Self Regulation Help

  Thank you for donation to our PBIS store where students can now get rewarded for displaying positive behavior and performing well in there academics. It is exciting for them to have there choice as they have always wanted to choose there reward and not just have the typical snacks, pens, water bottles etc.... They are all super excited to start to earn enough by performing to earn a gift card at our PBIS store. This has helped some learn to delay gratification and strive to save enough points to earn the gift card.”

• South Bronx Needs Self Regulation Tool.

  As you know, the impact of covid has been so hard on teens. Your donation has helped so many students learn to self regulate.

  Students were able to practice deep breathing and other yoga self regulation strategies to help them when they feel not regulated. The impact has truly helped most students able to return to the classroom. Normally this would not have been the case.

  Since your donation, we have realized the need to teach more students to learn breathing techniques and the proper use of music can play on the brain.”

• South Bronx Needs a Monitor

  Needless to say the students were beyond excited to see that people out there care about kids, and kids from the South Bronx. Thanks to you, we were able to do so many varied lessons. We played Kahoot and some padlet games. Also with the other monitor, the kids were to do padlet and enjoy a fun game of among us.

  With the other screen we did some mindful moments and social emotional activities such as breathing and yoga.

  Lastly, we were able to some role play situation where students were able to present.”

• South Bronx Workout

  Thank you so much for the fitness balls and the juggling scarfs. While it is a hard year teaching virtually, the ability to change things up and get students moving is so good for there mental health and overall well being!

  When we started this, it was met with some laughs, but as always, students are so flexible. The students all found things in there place of residence to mirror my movements and so appreciated the fun and movement.

  We just started juggling and needless to say, that was so fun!”

• South Bronx Kids Need Coping Materials

  Thank you so much for the donations for mental health, mindfulness and self regulation. Needless to say, are students were beyond excited to have the resources provided by you.

  We have implemented a wellness area using the material provided by your donations. We have formed a club and use the space for students to both learn self regulation skills and just get rid of some stress.

  The punching bag has proven to be a huge it with the students. Myself and the guidance counselor have created a weekly group to have the most needed students use the material and learn how to cope.”

  Thank you so much for you wonderful donations to are school. Needless to say, our students were beyond excited when they saw the material they have for self regulation. They were shocked someone they do not know would care so much.

  Already, the material has paid huge dividends. Some students just need stress relief and awareness. They were so excited to be able to keep the stress balls and stretch toys so they can use it in the classroom when they feel overwhelmed.

  Students who normally were being sent out to me, now have the tools need to self regulate.”
