Complete Diagnostics
Funded Feb 1, 2023Many of our students don't have the technology or financial means to purchase technology to participate in completing homework, classroom assignments, projects, and school-wide assessments.
My students are excited to use the new products because they simply are not exposed to it at home.
Students who have experience with it are more excited because they are covered with colorful covers, a strap, and a stylus. In addition, they are proud to know that their parents have helped to raise funds for these devices.”

Funded Nov 29, 2022Thank you so much for funding my project "Copies Please." We are using our copy paper for so many projects and writings. We have been using the paper for differentiated activities for ELA and writing. We have been learning information of different holidays/cultural celebrations, African Americans, women, and the name sake in which our school is named after with a packet of information and activities like one pagers, word searches, coloring, color by number, and drawings. We have also been using the paper for anchor charts in ELA , math, and writing.”

Funded Nov 2, 2020Your generous heart and monetary gifts have done so much in helping my students who were struggling with technology access or connection. I had students that couldn't fully participate in virtual games or screen sharing because their device wasn't supported or they only had a cell phone to use because their older sibling was using the families i-pad or Department of Education i-pad.
The most exciting thing about the new product to my students is that it belong to them and no one else. When you come from a household with other siblings who are also in school as well, doing remote learning won't be equal for each child. For example, until my student received his Amazon tablet he was used a cellphone, his older sister used an i-pad, his older brother used the DOE i-pad, and his mother used her laptop for work. My student can now see all of his classmates on a bigger screen.
One of my students warmed to her new technology because it was new and it was her device and not her older brothers device. She's now able to participate in game websites. She eagerly says, "Ms. Cook I'm in."”

Listen While We Work
Funded Sep 5, 2019Supplying the headphones helped with not spreading germs and viruses to others because scholars have their own headphone with a plastic Ziploc bag for storage. My scholars are able to retrieve their own headphone from the storage bin with pride and responsibility. Since each headphone is gray, their is no preference in color to cause discourse to the classroom environment.
Each scholar is now able to work quietly without being disturbed from the laptops volume or outside noises like the ringing of the classroom phone or classes passing by.
One student particularly loves the feel of the headphones on his ears that he sometimes forget to place them back in the storage container after he has placed the laptop back in the cart to be charged and locked away.
Thanks again for all of your selfless contributions to my project.”
