  • Headphones and History

    Funded Aug 19, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation that provided headphones for my students. We had our first lesson and virtual tour through the Smithsonian museum learning about Lucy, the early human.

The students were able to explore and learn about Lucy at their own pace. Excitement about the whole experience was evident when students took their headphones off and wanted to show me something and share something with me. Loads of fun for sure. They did not want to stop with just Lucy, they wanted to continue to other virtual museums.

Our goal was to learn about Lucy and the early humans through research. While they were exploring the students were taking notes and submitting a final presentation explaining their findings.

Thank you again for being so generous and giving my students this opportunity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Brown

  • It's Game Time

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation that has allowed me to begin It's Game Time in my classroom. We have already started learning the history of the games and of course how to play the games. The students have had to work together for Game Time to be successful, so collaboration is a learning process.

As a teacher one of the best things is being able to have some quality time with my students while playing games together. We laughed, built strategies together, and I was able to let the students lead the Game Time process. It has been neat to watch some of my quiet students step up and be a leader in a game. So a win win for everyone. Students are learning history, students are learning cooperation, and I am getting to learn more about my students while having fun at the same time.

Thank you again for allowing my students to have this opportunity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Brown

  • Individual Learning With Headphones

    Funded Aug 15, 2023

It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to provide headphones for my scholars. With the headphones the students have already researched some virtual museums to discover artificats from the Early Human time period.

My ELL students have seen success with the text to speech and translation without it being a distraction to the other students. The scholars are able to move at their own pace.

Some of my scholars have enjoyed the fact that they can listen to music while they work. This ables to concentrate on their work and not on other distractions that can occur during class. The scholars have improved in completing assignments since they are blocking out other things that are going on around them.

I am looking forward to creating more lessons that surround the use of the headphones and the scholars are helping in the research.

Thank you so much for your donations and being a part of my scholar's success in Social Studies.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Brown
