  • Making our Stories Come to Life

    Thank you so much for your all of your generous donations. The students in my class were so excited to be able to print their work. We used the hooks to display their work in the classroom. Using a color printer really got them excited to finish and display their work. Thank you again for understanding that when a kid becomes inspired, true learning takes place. They were able to create a few reports using the color printer. We ran out of ink but thankfully had an extra supply due to donations.”

  • Building a STEM Powered Classroom

    Thank you for the very generous donation. While it might seem like a hodge-podge of items, there are so many wonderful lessons waiting to come to life.   • Help Us Follow Individual Health Guidelines

    Thank you so much. My students were so excited when they got all the supplies needed. The parents expressed gratitude as well. Alot of the supplies purchased can be bought in a dollar store, but those dollars add up. This year my students had everything they needed from folders, to head phones. They were so excited to use their headphones, especially at home.

    Scissors, glue and pencils were handed out, not just for class use, but to bring home. They loved having matching folders. The alcohol wipes are used daily to clean desks, and handles. They loved the colorful masks as well. Everything they have been handed out has been laminated and put on rings so that they can have easy access when needed. Thank you for everything donated.”

  • Using Technology for Student Success

    Once again thank you for the funding for the tablets. The students in my classroom love using them. Everyday my students are so excited to use my new technology center. We have been using them for math games, reading games, listening resources and sometimes just as a reward. The kids are going to begin to photograph places we go on with the tablets. They are going to begin to create photo books. The students have learned how to use new technology like QR readers, take photos and edit them. What an exciting year we have ahead.”

My group of diverse students learn in many different ways. Currently in my classroom we have very limited use of technology and what we do have is outdated. Most students do not have access to technology outside of the classroom. In the past few years, I have realized that this is a huge obstacle in educating them in the 21st century. There are many apps and educational websites that students can use to not only enhance their learning, but help them to be prepared for a world that is dominated by technology. In todays tech driven world it is important for children to be comfortable, knowledgable and safe while using technology. I would love to be able to give my students 5 Amazon Fire Tablets. They can be used as ESL and math workstations and also as a means to help students become familiar with the English Language by using different educational learning tools.
