Funded Aug 15, 2024We LOVE our new books. These books are more than just pages and words; they are opportunities for our students to explore and foster a love for reading that will last a lifetime. These books have brought great joy to some of my youngest students. They enjoy the vivid pictures on many themes as we introduce new books each week.
My student's independence grows with the pages that are sturdy enough for them to enjoy on their own. The books that allow us to explore with all of our senses are so helpful!
Your generous donations allow young faces to brighten as they interact with books.”

Funded Jun 20, 2023Thank you for your generosity in providing for my students. With your help we have created many days with playdough. We can make letters, shapes and our favorite foods. When we create with our hands it also improves our communication through conversations with our friends and teachers.
Another exciting activity that we were able to complete were making sensory bottles. These bottles allow us to have a visual support when we need to calm and focus for learning. We will be able to continue to use these items for several years.”

Funded Jun 13, 2023Thank you for your generosity in providing for my students. With your help, we have had the opportunity to build with sand. Not only do we enjoy the sensory experience but we also can work on following directions. We build our abilities by scooping, pouring and stacking.
My students get excited to have new items and to share with others that visit our room. This excitement leads to increased communication. Students are able to increase their ability to use complete sentences and describing words when they talk about their experiences in the sensory table.”

Funded Jan 14, 2022WOW! My students we amazed by the size of the big magnetic blocks. They have enjoyed building forts to fend off dragons, garages for our cars and castles for sleeping. Blocks are the first place my students go during our work time.
Learning to take turns is a skill we work on daily and these blocks are one of the main sources of developing this skill. We all have different ideas of what to build. Thanks to your generosity my students have enjoyed developing their turn taking, problem solving and engineering skills.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!”

Senses Seeking Input
Funded Jan 14, 2022My students were overjoyed to have our new sensory tiles. The tiles provide a visual input when they are stepped on with their feet and when they push on them with their hands. Dancing on the tiles has become a new favorite during our daily work time.
During our large group time the students enjoy sitting on the tiles to listen to stories. They can rub the tiles with their hands and still maintain focus on our activities. The tiles change colors and show different patterns when they move their hands or feet over the tiles. Your kindness towards my students is so appreciated.”

Funded Sep 16, 2020Thank you for your generous donations for our classroom cube chairs. These chairs have allowed my students to have their own personal space during our group time activities, during small group times and during work time in centers. My students enjoy using our cube chairs as tables also. These create a space to explore toys in our own personal way. In the dramatic play area these have made extra seats at the table for our dolls. Cube chairs have also made a great train for us to pretend we are going on a trip to the store and to the zoo with our friends. Your gift will continue to create many memorable learning adventures in our classroom.”

Funded Mar 30, 2020My students are utilizing the carpet markers to help us with a variety of activities this year. They are very thankful for having the bright colored markers which bring joy and happiness to their day.
We are using spots during group time to have our own space. During this time of needing social distancing, these spots help us to keep each other safe. The arrows and strips allow us to create multiple areas for exercise breaks. This allows us to keep ourselves and others safe while still getting our wiggles out.
We are so grateful for your generosity in helping us to exercise our bodies to focus our minds while staying safe.”
