Bring Back… Bring Back… Bring Back Our Printer to Us, to Us!
Funded Feb 8, 2009I am so grateful to you for funding my proposal, "Bring Back... Bring Back... Bring Back Our Printer to Us, to Us!" Thanks to you, this wonderful classroom machine can be used. I'm sending my kids' notes, which I think will show you how grateful they are to have the printer/copier/scanner back up and running in my classroom. Your donation helped me show my appreciation for them, so I hope you get a hint of their kindness, appreciation and personality in their writing...
We're constantly using the printer/copier in the classroom. I print-off documents my students write on our classroom computer. I also print-out color photos of them, photocopy homework assignments, duplicate lots of worksheets and much, much more! The cost of buying ink cartridges, at the rate we presently go through them was prohibitively expensive. I try to give my kids full access to all classroom resources, but I noticed I was getting "cheap" on the copier usage... until your donation. You saved us and things are now back to normal in my classroom. THANK YOU!
Thank you for helping me revive my classroom by helping us purchase a new printer/copier/scanner in my classroom. Your generosity overwhelms me. I am touched by your desire to help fund these supplies for my children.”

Budding Artists Need More Art Supplies
Funded Dec 24, 2008This morning I was wondering if anyone had been kind enough to fund this proposal. I went online and found out the answer to my question. No. Not yet. Therefore, I went about the rest of my day...
When I came home from running errands in Warwick, I found an e-mail that stated my proposal had been completely funded. WOW!!!! This was not what I expected to see the day before Christmas. What an unexpected surprise.
Thank you for your gracious donation. I know that my students will really enjoy all of the materials I requested in this proposal, from sand art kits to origami paper to puzzle kits since these are things they've been hoping to get their hands on for months now. Your donation will be appreciated by the 18 budding artists I'm fortunate to teach.
Warmest regards,

Is the Next Matisse, Picasso, or Kahlo in My Class?
Funded Oct 4, 2008I am so grateful to you for funding my proposal, “Is the Next Matisse, Picasso, or Kahlo in My Class?” Thanks to you, my students can reach their full artistic potential since they will have the tools they need for success. The supplies that will be purchased with your donation are ones that my fourth graders asked for since they wanted to have more visual art experiences in the classroom. Now we'll have everything from quality art paper to oils and soft pastels for them to use. Yippee!!!
I am truly touched by your desire to help fund this proposal for art supplies. Thank you!

Aspiring Writers Need Real Writer's Notebooks
Funded Nov 8, 2008You have no idea what impeccable timing you have!
My kids are all finishing their first Moleskine Notebooks right now. Long story short, my closet is devoid of new notebooks (unless you count the nine I have without lines, which aren't exactly 9 year-old friendly). Therefore, I'm extremely delighted you chose to fund this project. My kids REALLY need new notebooks to write in NOW since they've been writing sooooo much lately!
Wishing you a great day!
Best,
Stace”

Funded Nov 7, 2008I was printing out some maps, in color, for my students today. I was standing over my printer longing for more reams of paper and ink. And then, when I arrived at home yesterday, I found out that YOU had funded my proposal for more ink and paper. THANK YOU SO MUCH! This was phenomenal news since I've been supplementing my classroom printer out of my own pocket, which is getting to be very expensive. My students, and I, truly appreciate your generosity.

Bring Us Angelou, Collins, and Dickinson - Part Two
Funded Aug 13, 2008Wowee zowee!!!!
Maybe not the most professional way to start a letter, but that was my first thought when I saw that you funded my Poetry Proposal today. THANK YOU SO MUCH for your exceedingly kind donation. Because of you, my students will have access to an amazing collection of poetry books, which will enrich them as both readers and writers. They WILL become poets, thanks to you.
I look forward to sending you their letters and photos of them using the resources your donation will purchase in a few months. Until then, please know that I'm an EXTREMELY grateful fourth grade teacher in Rhode Island who cannot thank you enough for your kindness.

The Promise of a New Notebook
Funded Jul 31, 2008Wow-wee!!!! I'm thrilled you have decided to fund my project, "The Promise of a New Notebook," for my incoming class of fourth graders. They're going to be THRILLED to have brand new school supplies like mechanical pencils, fresh scissors, and new pencil sharpeners this fall.
Your donation came at the perfect time since I will be able to inform my students' families, most of whom qualify for free- or reduced-price lunch, that they do not need to go out and buy new school supplies for their children. This will be a relief to many parents seeing as money is tighter than ever these days.
Best wishes for a wonderful August!
Very truly yours,
Stacey

Funded Apr 14, 2008I'm delighted you've chosen to fund my proposal! Thank you so much for your kind donation. My students, who are avid poets, will LOVE the books your donation will purchase.
We're starting our Poetry Unit of Study (even though we've been studying poetry all year) in late May. I think these books will arrive just in time for the start of the unit.
I will look forward to sharing the children's reactions with you.

Web 2.0 Savvy 4th Graders: It Can Happen!
Funded Mar 20, 2008I was sitting in our school's cafe, having lunch with two of my students, when I saw your email. (I'm multi-tasking.) The three of us were DELIGHTED to see that our request for an LCD Projector has been funded. YAHOOOOOOOOO!!!! One of my students even did a happy dance.
We cannot wait to receive this amazing resource. It will truly transform instruction in my classroom and will make my students Web 2.0 savvy.
