  • Remote Learning Necessities

    Funded Apr 6, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity! Your support of my remote teaching and virtual classroom has been a tremendous light during this challenging year. My classes are fully remote this year and your support of my project has enabled me to be a more effective teacher. The technology you provided to support my remote classroom this year has helped me as I continually adjust to the constant changes and challenges during this time. The keyboard, mouse, standing desk, and document camera have been essential tools for me. Thank you again for your generosity and support!”

  • To a Healthy and Productive New Year!

    Funded Dec 17, 2018

My students are so happy to have replenished supplies for the school year! These supplies help keep us healthy, happy and writing. We are able to keep our health station stocked with paper towels, tissue, sanitizer, and cleaning wipes. This enables us to keep our classroom clean and healthy. As supplies dwindle through the year, having a new batch of pencils has kept us prepared to write and work the whole year through. The individual tissue packs have been great for students to use when they are dealing with sniffles or allergies since they can take a pack with them to have for the school day. Thank you for supporting our classroom!”

  • Furniture for My Bookworms

    Funded Nov 27, 2018

The project's furniture has been a great addition to my classroom! We have reading marathons often on Fridays and student love to lounge on the comfy chairs while reading. I brought in a rug for students to set up their reading area on. They have shown great responsibility in setting up their reading area and putting away the chairs and rug at the end of class. Staying organized is always a challenge in the middle school classroom, but the storage shelves and bins have been great for keeping our supplies right where we need them in the front of the classroom. Thank you for supporting my classroom and students!”

    With gratitude,

  • Supplies to Support Students at Risk

    Funded Aug 22, 2018

The classroom supplies and printer have been a great support for my students this year. I try to provide bandaids, tissue, and sanitizer to help keep my students healthy and comfortable. It is great to have everything that they need to stay healthy inside my classroom. This way students don't have to leave and miss classroom instruction simply for a bandaid or to get hand sanitizer.

The printer has supported my students by having additional resources available in the moment. If a student is unable to secure their materials outside of school, I can provide an additional copy within the classroom. It also helps me to support students who do not have reliable access to the internet. I can provide research materials to them before they leave class. Keeping my students healthy, comfortable, and supported is very important to me. Stability is important and I want my classroom to be a stable place in their lives. Thank you for supporting me in this endeavor.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Brickey

  • Tools for Autonomous Learners

    Funded Aug 12, 2018

My students are enjoying their supplies very much. They love the green wobble chairs. They really help students to stay focused when working at their desks. The paper sorters have been crucial in keeping our homework and writing projects organized. Students are able to obtain resources on their own as they work independently through the drafting process for their writing projects. This helps to build their independence.

The metal bookshelf keeps our literature circle books organized, as well as provides a place for some of the new graphic novels we got this year. Thank you so much for supporting my classroom this year. My students appreciate having these additional materials to support their work. THANK YOU!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Brickey
