Headphones for Student-Centered Learning
Funded Jul 20, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donations. You helped me provide a class set of headphones to my students, and they are being used by students almost every day. These are high-quality headphones that will be a wonderful resource for many students for years to come.
As you know, students are often unable to purchase their own pair of headphones, earphones, or AirPods. Your donations allowed me to provide headphones to those students so that they are able to fully participate in class activities that require headphones. For example, students recently completed an online WebQuest in which they were able to watch videos about and listen to music from the Harlem Renaissance before beginning our novel study (and they were able to do so at their own pace!).
Thank you again for helping me provide such an amazing resource for my kiddos!”

Funded Sep 11, 2020Thank you so much for helping us purchase a throwable microphone for our classroom! Incorporating technology into my lessons is something that has always been important to me. It allows me to switch things up and get students excited about what they're learning.
This throwable microphone is exciting for my students because it incorporates movement into the lesson. They can throw the microphone to their friends or somebody near them, and students are excited to participate and get involved in the lesson.
This new piece of technology has also helped my students who are normally soft-spoken share their ideas with the class without having to worry whether their peers are able to hear them. This allows for fuller discussions because everyone is able to participate equally. Thank you again for helping us purchase this amazing piece of technology for our classroom!”

Engage ALL Readers
Funded Dec 9, 2019Thank you for helping me provide books for my Spanish-speaking students. This has given them the opportunity to fall in love with reading, the same opportunity that all students should have. These students will be able to read alongside their peers with greater depth and understanding. High-interest novels are necessary for engagement; these have made an excellent addition to my classroom library.
My Spanish-speaking students will gratefully read these books for years to come, thankful that we gave them the opportunity to enjoy reading in their native language.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Hepburn
