In Anderson Five, our teachers are dedicated to providing enriching educational opportunities for all of our students, and we are very appreciative of the supporting community that we serve. Through DonorsChoose, our teachers are able to fund exciting and innovative projects that directly impact classroom instruction. Those who donate to our schools and teachers are making an immediate impact in the lives of our students.

About Anderson School District Five

Anderson School District Five is located in the northwestern part of South Carolina and surrounded by beautiful Lake Hartwell. Anderson County is home to more than 180,000 people who love its warm climate, friendly atmosphere, beautiful setting and convenient location along I-85. It is a short drive to Clemson University, and two hours to either Atlanta or Charlotte. Anderson was awarded the All-America City Award in 2000 by the National Civic League.

Anderson Five is an urban district, encompassing 112 square miles. We have 18 schools that serve approximately 13,200 students in eleven elementary schools, four middle schools, and two high schools. Other campuses include Anderson Adult Education Center, C.F. Reams Education Center, South Fant School of Early Education and West Market School of Early Education. In conjunction with Anderson School Districts 3 and 4, we have a state of the art career development facility called Anderson Institute of Technology.

Our district is accredited by the South Carolina Department of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Our state of the art technology, including laptops for teachers and modern facilities, is recognized nationally.

We are sincerely grateful to you for choosing to donate to our teachers' projects here on DonorsChoose. It truly takes "a village" to raise and educate our children.
