  • Learning and Growing With Hands-on Tools Part 2

    Thank you so much for supporting this technology project! We have been able to get a very much needed iPad for our classroom to use. We have these for math practice. There are so many apps that my students can use to help reinforce what we have been learning.

    We did not have any iPads and having this one is a great addition to our STEM stations and math time. My early finishers also get to use these often. I have students who stay focused so that they can use the iPad once they are done with their regular work. Thank you so much for helping our class with this particular project!”

  • We've Got the Write Stuff!

    Thank you again so much for supporting my class with this writing project. We use our Gratitude Journals daily and I think this is a great way for my students to practice gratitude. It helps my students reflect and practice being calm and in the moment.

    We also love our writing journals. These have narrative, opinion and informational writing pieces that they can practice with. These have been a great addition to our learning.

    We use our journals to reflect on our reading. We read books about gratitude and then write about the story. Connecting these two things have been great for my students.

  • Learning Chinese Lunar New Year With 3d Pens!

  • Access Learning Through Headphones For All!

    Thank you so much for supporting my class and helping us get headphones for my students. We use these every single day and my students are very happy to have these to help support their learning. They are able to listen to stories and watch learning videos without disturbing others. I often assign projects and lessons on Google Classroom that has sound and it is really great that we can keep our noise level down so everyone can concentrate. These have been really great!

    My students who have not brought headphones on their own really enjoy the flexibility of using our class sets. They also use them during tests where audio is needed and they can work at their own pace. This has been really helpful in situations like that.

These books have been so great to help my students learn about others and have compassion for all others. Using pictures is a great way for my young students to learn.   • Roar, Chomp, Chirp! Animal Magna Tiles Help Us Learn!

  • Building and Understanding Animals and Their Habitats With LEGO Sets!

    Thank you all so much for supporting this project! My class was very excited to build animals with Lego sets. We worked as a class and took our time to build a parrot with Legos. With my guidance and support, my students became Lego experts. They all had a wonderful time making this bird.

    We also received many other Lego sets that my students tried to build as well. Over time we will have the other sets complete all thanks to your kindness. I cannot wait and see how those turn out as well.

We are a Title I school. Most of my students are on free or reduced meal plans. We have many EL students over half my class are ELL students, which is low. Most teachers have a higher count of EL's. Our students come from working families and families that speak other languages at home. Some parents are not able to communicate English with us but we do have Spanish speaking translators on site. Our staff is very caring and committed to providing a caring, nurturing and a fun and engaging classroom for all our students. We want them to know that we will be there for them and give them as much as we possibly can. One great thing about our school is that we are on one to one devices, iPads or Chrome Books. For many students this is the first time they have been able to use and engage with today's technology.
