The goal of using Kid Power is to help students be more active while increasing their global awareness and to show students that they really can make a difference in the world. This program will help students work as a team and expand their ideas about communities. Living in a rural area, it is often hard for our students to imagine what life is like in other parts of the world. Using the UNICEF program can help students experience what other parts of the world are like. The Kid Power Up Program allows students to make their movements during the day meaningful to others around the world by unlock lifesaving nutrition to malnourished children. Using Kid Power Bands in grades 3 through 6 will allow our school community to work together to have an impact upon the world. These students will learn to work together and understand that even their small actions can make a huge difference in helping others.
