• Outer Spacial Lighting

• Play Like the Pros!

  Thank you so much for your generous donation to this project. My players eagerly replaced our older monitors with these high-performance monitors as soon as they arrived. Once they adjusted their settings, they were able to experience the difference when playing with such a high refresh rate. Our Overwatch and Halo teams benefited from this much-improved equipment. We are very grateful that we are now able to compete on a level field with other schools in our league. I am a very proud coach to be able to offer this level of gameplay and competition to my players.”

• Speedy Content Creation!

  My students greatly appreciate the impact this project has had on our program. We have installed the content creation software on this laptop and have already begun creating materials for our program.

  My students have taken greenscreen portraits of themselves and used Adobe Photoshop and After Effects to create professional-looking cutouts to use as player profiles on our website and our live stream. They have also downloaded streaming graphics and customized them to match the Richland team colors and logo.

• New Home Uniforms!

  My students were excited and eager to try on our new uniforms for this past season. They especially liked the breathable material of the jerseys and the new Nike pants. Last year's pants had quite a lot of wear and tear, so these were a welcome upgrade.

  The colors on the jersey are very vibrant and represent our school well. Our journalism department commented on how great the new uniforms look. I believe their photos do a great job showcasing this.

  Thankfully, the jerseys withstood the wear and tear of the season.”

• Varsity Baseball Refresh!

  Funded Feb 10, 2022

  My students were very grateful to receive the new equipment you helped fund this season. I had our catcher come into my office and open the equipment from the boxes and custom-fit them to his size. Needless to say, he was more than excited to finally wear brand-new equipment.

  Many of my players spent the better part of the season debating which bat was better during practice. If one got a hit during a game, that would be the go-to bat for everyone else. I'm glad they were able to have new options that suited their abilities.

• Weather Technologies

  My students are enjoying using the weather station in my PC maintenance class this semester. Some of their lessons so far have been about internet-connected devices. We've used this station as a hands-on example of setting up an internet-connected device in the classroom that checks in with servers on the internet. They are able to check the weather underground server status and monitor the data they are receiving.

  At first, my students were confused about how this device connects, however, I tasked them with reading the manual and researching connection guides. They were able to figure out the correct connection settings shortly thereafter.

• Cool Custom Jerseys!

  Thank you so much for providing these jerseys for my team. We received them just in time for a regional tournament and they were super excited. I noticed other schools checking out our new look as our players were walking around. I even had one coach ask where we found these jerseys and I explained the DonorsChoose custom order process.

  My assistant coach created gift packages for our players to open on the day of the regional tournament. You should have seen their excitement as they discovered their brand new jerseys with their names on the back. They played in style and had a great time at the tournament.”

• A Modern Computer Lab!
