Flexible Seating, Flexible Learning

The students were very happy and excited to see the new flexible seating. My students look forward to coming to my classroom. They get to use the wobble seats, balance balls floor cushions and stools to fit their movement needs. The students are much more engaged. It has helped keep students on task that are easily distracted. It allows the students just the right amount of movement without becoming overly excited.
The students want the donors to know how happy and how much they appreciate the monetary donations to purchase these items. I am so appreciative because as a teacher, you want your students to look forward to coming to your class!”

Flexible seating that provides movement allows students to choose the seating that best works for their learning style and needs. For the student that needs movement, they can choose between the balance ball chairs or the wobble chairs. When reading in the library or working on the floor, the comfy floor chairs provide the right support. These products such as wobble chairs and balance ball seats, provide movement and sensory input over the traditional chairs usually found in a classroom. Data has shown that students who can move throughout the day stay better engaged. Providing alternate seating options will help my students overcome their attention difficulties and sensory integration challenges so they can stay engaged and motivated in their learning.
