  • Classroom Organizing Needs in High School English

    Funded May 26, 2025

Thank you so much for these awesome new essential organizing supplies for my classroom!

The clipboards are some of our most used items in our classroom, so it will be awesome to have new ones that aren't broken. The planner will allow me and my students to stay on the same page in terms of absences and makeup work, and the clips will be used to hold onto the makeup work. The magazine holders will be a new place for students to turn in their work.

Thank you so much for believing in this project for my students—you are so appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Seal

  • Creative Projects & Candy Incentives for English 2

    Funded May 27, 2025

Thank you so much for believing in this project for my students and our classroom! These are supplies we use all the time in my classroom, so I appreciate you so much for funding these items.

I love having my students do creative projects to show their understanding of what they've read and their standards. These posters will come in so handy for these projects in the upcoming year when we work on these creative activities.

The candy incentives will encourage my students to participate in class and do their best work. I appreciate you so much!”

    With gratitude,

  • Books and a Bookshelf for HS English Classroom Library

    Funded May 25, 2025

Thank you so much for believing in my students, our classroom, and our classroom library! This project give us the opportunity to replace one of our old bookshelves that is struggling to stay together, plus it gives us some new books to choose from!

In my classroom, we use books literally every day because my class does independent reading each day for bell work. This is 10 minutes where my students can read a book of their choice, which helps them build up their reading fluency and stamina.

My students and our classroom library are grateful to you!”

  • New Books and Comfy Place to Read in HS English

    Funded May 26, 2025

Thank you so much for giving us these new books and some comfortable new places to sit to read them! I'm so excited to share the books with my students this fall. We read independently for bellwork each day for 10 minutes, so your contribution to our classroom library will allow my students to have additional options to choose from for that portion of our day.

My classroom has flexible seating options, which means there are a ton of different types of chairs and tables for students to choose from. This project will give my student some extra options to pick from each day!

Thank you so much for believing in us!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Seal

I teach English in a Title 1 high school in South Mississippi. My students are the most determined, hardest working people I know. Many of them face great adversity in their homes and in their daily lives, yet they come to school each day willing to learn and to do their best. I love my students more than I can explain, and once they've been in my class, they are forever "my kids." Because of my love for my students, I'm tough on them, but they inevitably rise to each challenge I set before them. I primarily teach 10th graders, but I also teach some upperclassmen in Dual Credit English Composition. My students are a very diverse group--they live in varied locations, including inside the city and out in the county, they have diverse family situations, and their backgrounds are also diverse--but despite their differences, they come together to form a top high school in our state!
