This teaching table will allow me to literally be able to reach every student in my class as they participate in small group and guided reading lessons. Currently, we do small groups at a small round table. This is problematic for several reasons. First, the table is small and it is difficult for my students to accomplish their activities without being distracted or arguing over table space for their supplies. I also don't have access to speak, meet with, and check in on all of the students in the group without distracting other students or changing seats, which causes even more disruption. Students with special needs must have the opportunity to work with minimal distractions and with as much individualized attention as they require. My students need to be able to focus on their work, participate in discussions with peers, and receive support and guidance from me as needed- This table is the perfect solution!
