  • Mark Your Spot and Write About It!

    Funded Feb 7, 2025

Thank you so much for your donations. Your generous donations will provide my students with cool, colorful pens and a variety of new bookmarks. The students get so excited to even write with pens during library time. Having the cool, colorful pens will encourage them to write more. The variety of bookmarks that have been selected are different from any I have ever had before. I know the students will enjoy all our new items. Thank you for supporting me, our library, all of my students, and public education.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Frazier

  • Library Club Snack Attack

    Funded Jan 18, 2025

Thank you so much for your donations. The Library Club members work very hard to help and assist me each and every day. They also help when I have a substitute. Your generosity will provide them with snacks for the rest of the year. Thank you for supporting me, our library, all of my students, and public education.”

    Funded Aug 3, 2022

Thank you so much for giving to my New to Me library, my students, and supporting public education.

I am so excited to add these Graphic Dividers to our Picture Book section of the library. They are bright and colorful with cute illustrations.

This is my first project of the year and your generous donations funded it in 24 hours.

    THANK YOU….THANK YOU…..THANK YOU!!!”

  • Storytime with Illustrations

    Funded Oct 21, 2021

I would like to thank you for giving to my project. The new books have been a wonderful addition to our library lessons. I read a variety of books to the students. Then we do a guided illustration from a well known elementary literacy blogger The Book Wrangler. He provides step by step directions to follow. This allows us to recreate a character from the story. The students have loved our guided illustration lessons. Thank you for giving to my students, our library, and supporting public education.”

  • Bright and Colorful Illustrations

    Funded Sep 12, 2021

I would like to thank you for giving to my project. The colorful paper has added to our illustrations after story time. I read a variety of stories to my students. Afterwards we review the character, setting, problem, solution, and ending. Then we make a storyboard that includes our story elements. We have been using our Cricut machine to cut out the main character from the story. The students have been so excited to get a visual cut out of the main character from their story. They then illustrate the other story elements. Thank you for giving to my students, our library, and supporting public education.”

  • Comfortable on the Floor

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

I would like to thank you for giving to my library and my students. The children love the new seat cushions we received. Due to COVID-19 we are having library classes on the floor this year. The seat cushions have been a wonderful added addition to our library. My goal is to have enough flexible seating so that all students can choose whatever type of seating they would like for library class. I appreciate your gift to me, my students, and our library. You are making a difference in our student's lives. We now have enough seats for every child in all my classes.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!”

  • A Library That Rolls!

    Funded Aug 17, 2021

I would like to thank you for your generosity. You have provided us with two new rolling bookcases. One of them we are using to display our magazines. They are now being used more by the students because they can flip through them and find a magazine that interests them. The other bookcase is being used to display our lower-level non-fiction books. These books often got lost in the big nonfiction shelves. The bookcases roll, making them easy to move around. This allows me to place what we are learning about in front of our Promethean Board.”

  • Emoji’s... No, They are Graphic Novels

    Funded May 1, 2021

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your donations to my students and our library. The donations bought our library a new collection of Graphic Novels. These are some of the most popular books in our library. Having multiple copies of the three most popular titles has really excited my students. The students are reading more due to the colorful illustrations presented in graphic novels. We have increased our Graphic Novel collection with your donations. I appreciate your supporting my students and adding resources to our library.”

My students all live in the neighborhood surrounding our school. We are located in the heart of our urban city in Tennessee. My students come from a variety of diverse families. They attend a public K-5 elementary school. As the librarian I want each student to leave with an interesting book they can read.
