THANK YOU!!!! I cannot express my gratitude in words! I want to thank you GREATLY for donating the pencils, erasers and dry erase boards to my classroom. Your kindness and support will definitely make an impact on my students. My students absolutely needed the pencils and erasers! They go through so many in a week! They are excited about the dry erase boards. They love working math problems on the dry erase boards. It makes learning much more interesting to them. Once again, THANK YOU for caring about education and making a difference in the lives of my students.”

    Funded Dec 15, 2011

THANK YOU!!!! I cannot express my gratitude in words! I want to thank you GREATLY for donating the Thrive to my classroom. Your kindness and support will definitely make an impact on my students. My students absolutely LOVE using the tablet! I've got to set up a schedule for each of them to get some "tablet time"! Your donation allowed me to incorporate something that they love (technology) with learning about bullying. Awareness of bullying is very important for young children. My students will be able to enter middle and high school with this knowledge. They will be able to educate others about bullying. Once again, THANK YOU for caring about education and making a difference in the lives of my students.”

  • The Need to Be Hands-On

    Funded Jul 16, 2010

I cannot express my gratitude in words! Your donation and thoughtfulness has made such an impact on my math classes. The students LOVE using and working with the manipulatives that you have provided for our class. They enjoy using the materials so much that they do not realize that they are actually learning. The students love using the double-sided dry erase board to work math problems. They challenge each other with problems and at times race to solve them. In the past I've never had students beg to complete math problems. Students are also eager to use the math center manipulatives. Several of my students struggled greatly with understanding place value and money. Because of your generosity they have a better understanding of the concepts. Once again thank you SO very much! ”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Wade

Although many of my students may struggle with issues that they face in life, they are very eager to learn regardless of their situation. They enjoy hands-ons opportunities and learning by using materials and games rather than the classic paper and pencil. Although budgets are always an issue, allowing students access to more field trips, curriculum related opportunites and manipulatives will broaden their understanding of tough concepts that they may face in school. I would like to thank you for visiting DonorsChoose and supporting education which is the future of our nation.
