  • It's Electric

    Funded Aug 6, 2018

Thank you for all of your generosity and support to our classroom. We are so thankful to be able to explore electricity and electronics on a whole new level. The Snap Circuits you have supplied to our classroom have given us endless opportunities to learn and grow towards a future we can only dream of.

We have already started exploring the Snap Circuit and discovering what they do. The challenges are helping us become familiar with the Snap Circuit. This week we are starting our first "Design Challenge" this week and we are very excited!

Thank you again for everything you have done for our classroom!”

  • Creating with 3D Printer Pens

    Funded Oct 4, 2014

The students love the 3D Printer Pens! They are coming up with really creative ways to use them in class. They started with making their names with the pens to become familiar with how they work. They are now using them to create prototypes of their drawings! They have helped students become more confident and proud of their work. By being able to create prototypes helps the students discover flaws in their design before they make their final project.

My goal as a teacher is to show my students the possibilities that await them and help them become effective problem solvers. Thanks to donors like you I am able to accomplish this. You have made an impact on so many lives and I can never thank you enough.”

    With gratitude,

  • Everyone Needs LEGOs

    Funded Aug 22, 2014

Students are working in groups to use the design process to create new and innovative solutions to problems. Before they can design they need to understand how to create and read orthographic and multi-view drawings.

The LEGOs, snap cubes, and blocks have allowed them to build and make drawings to explore drafting and understand how to make 2-dimensional drawings of a 3-dimensional shape. We also used the chart tape to make our dry erase board into a graph so that they can use the graph to plot their drawings.

Your donations have had an impact on so many students and we are grateful for your support! This would not have been possible without you! Thank you again for believing in us and supporting us on our journey.”

I wanted to thank you all once again for your generosity and support. We are in the process of redesigning our classroom to be more efficient for the students. We are trying to bring the classroom up to date and help students explore design ideas.

We are using the materials for students to design and create their own word walls for class that will help them with vocabulary and definitions of key terms. They are also able to make posters and projects to showcase their work with the materials,

Students are always drawing up design ideas and projects. Your donations have had an impact on so many students and we are grateful for your support! We could not have done it with out you!”
