  • It's TPT Time!

    Funded Dec 10, 2024

I am a very fortunate teacher to have your support in my classroom. Having the Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards have been a lifesaver. I have been able to purchase items and units for my special education students. For those students who may have goals about writing a 3 paragraph essay, I was able to find and use a unit which breaks the essay into parts and we can focus on the opening paragraph or the closing paragraphs. I have been able to also find amazing units for teaching and practicing text evidence which utilize the popular "Who would Win?" books. Planning for my many levels in each hour has become easier knowing I can find the resources that are aligned with each student's IEP. So thank you for helping my students meet their goals.”

  • Hungry Again?

    Funded Mar 26, 2025

Thank you so much for the support. My students will be happy to have our snack cabinet filled again. I am always humbled by the generosity of others who help my special education classroom. Having a snack available is often the reason, the students are able to get through the day of learning. Your kindness is appreciated.”

  • A Seat for Snacks

    Funded Feb 6, 2025

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. My students will be so happy to have a new chair for breaks and the snacks so many of them need. The timing is perfect as one of my students said "It's middle school, we take a break and have a snack" when asked what they were working on. My students and I appreciate you , your kindness and generosity. Thanks again.”

  • Snappy Snack, Part 2

    Funded Jan 7, 2025

It was a great morning surpise to get the rocket email. My students will be so glad to get the new snacks and breakfast or lunch items. Noodles have become very popular. Students even use them as rewards to work for. And everyone loves goldfish crackers. They are a quick snack during class to get a boost of energy before their next meal. This is all because of you!”

  • Ready Readers

    Funded Oct 12, 2024

My students were so excited to get new graphic novels for our room. It was especially nice to add the new copies of "Measuring Up" as the main character wears a hijab like most of my students. This book was extra special as one of. my lowest readers was not only able to understand the book, she could also read it independently!

The Wings of Fire set has become popular with the sixth and seventh grade students. They have also let thier friends know about this new addition to our classroom library. This has resulted in them coming to borrow one of them. It helps to erase some of the stigma of having a learning disability in middle school.

Thank you for helping my students gain confidence and feel like they belong.”

  • Thirst Busters 2

    Funded Jul 13, 2024

Thank you so much for the water bottles. I was able to give each of my special education students their own personal bottle. Having the bottles has reduced the amount of time missed in class to get a drink of water from the fountain. It has been especially helpful when they are in PhyEd classes.

One of my students wrote the following: I'm writing this gratitude for the people that got us the water bottles. It is important in life to stay hydrated. And I'm grateful for using water bottle. I really thank the people that donate the water bottle to us. Another student wrote: It helps people not waste time to go and get water because the water bottle is with you all the time. Another way people can use the bottle is to put juice in it. Water bottles are easy to carry everywhere when you need them.”

  • A New Beginning

    Funded Aug 5, 2024

My students were so excited to start the year with these valuable supplies. Our room is trying to use less paper so anytime we can use the small whiteboards is a good day. Having the smalll whiteboard markers take the stress of "I want that color marker" out of our conversation. Everyone gets black markers and small black erasers.

Inside each student binder is a black pencil pouch. It is filled with pencils, erasers and a highlighter. Having these at the ready make it easy to highlight a passage you read to show the text evidence.

My students and I are very fortunate to have a stocked classroom. And it's because you chose us. Your kindness will not be forgotten.”

  • Data or it Didin't Happen, part 2

    Funded Apr 29, 2024

Our special education classrom is so organized because of these binders. In our room, each grade has a color. For instance, blue is for 5th grade and pink is for 7th grade. The shelf that holds these is located just inside our classroom door for easy access. The students know to grab their binder as they walk into the room. Inside each binder is a supply pouch and several divider tabs. Most students have a reading, a writing and a math tab. Behind each of those is their individualized work. All students also have a PM tab where completed work is kept. This makes it simple for the students to see the growth they have made. I love how organized our room has become due to your generosity. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Anderson
