Making Mathematicians!
Funded Oct 8, 2015Thank you so, so much for your generous donation!
Creating Mini Mathematicians is going to be so much fun with all of these new materials. We will be able to manipulate in a more meaningful way when there are actual objects to manipulate! Building a Math Literature time will develop meaningful, cross curriculuar connections and best of all, the whole grade level will be able to share in our fun with the multiple copies of our books! With new books, manipulative materials, and games, our math time is going to be a fun, interactive, and educational part of our day. All of these materials are going to be used this year and for many years to come.
Thank you a million times again!”

Bringing Our Tech To The New Generation
Funded Sep 19, 2015Thank you so much for your generous donation! We now have some new technology that will last for years to come!
We will be able to replace our tape player with an iPod dock & stereo. We will also be able to protect the iPad minis that we currently have with new cases. These cases will also help students develop their fine motor skills with the stand capability. All of these materials will be able to give us many, many years of use.
These are amazing gifts you have given our classroom.”

Transition with Technology!
Funded Sep 29, 2014WOW! Two iPads to use in our classroom! What a FANTASTIC gift you have given!
These iPads are being used everyday with exciting learning games to get our students motivated to read, spell, calculate, and publish! The iPads have been key to offering more independence to our students. Not without mention the excellent apps we have been able to download. Games like Starfall, Monkey Math, Teach Me, and Letter School, have all been an important learning component of our school day. We also have apps that teach about our Body, apps that teach spelling, apps that allow students to type words and sentences. All of these skills are at the hands of our kindergartners.
Thank you for making this wonderful learning adventure a possibility.”

FINE-ally Ready for School
Funded Sep 13, 2014Thank you for your generous donation to get these kiddos ready to write!
They did an amazing job last year building their fine motor development and the best part of your donation is that I can use them this school year as well!
The students enjoyed "Feeding the Animals," "Building the Towers," and "Grabbing the Gumballs." All of the activities in this project are designed to build their muscle strength and stamina in order to use a pencil appropriately. It is amazing to see the students' progress with the addition of a fun game.
Thank you for being a part of our fun learning environment!”

Keeping Kindergarteners Organized!
Funded Jul 21, 2013Thank you so much for these WONDERFUL cubbies! Having a class full of kindergarteners is already a tough job but teaching them to manage and organize their materials is even tougher! These cubbies have made it a breeze. Students can easily find their name, find their materials and papers aren't flying everywhere. It's also convenient that they are spacious and sturdy; something we didn't have before. With the students independent with their cubby and materials, it takes the responsibility out of my hands and into theirs and allows me to focus on the other things in the classroom. I am so pleased with this addition to our classroom and all of my students are, too!
Thank you very much for your help in getting these for this class and many classes to come!”

TK Needs Technology!
Funded Sep 3, 2013It's been fantastic using our iPad in our classroom! Thank you to each and every one of you for your donation.
Our class enjoys being able to use the iPad in many different ways. Not only does it work as a classroom time management system with the Kiddie Timer app, but it is used in combination with whatever it is we are learning. What is more exciting is that the students can use it all on their own! Working on reading skills with the Bob Books and SuperKids apps, working on handwriting skills with the Handwriting Without Tears app and working on math skills with Monkey Math and Teach Me apps; it is just so much fun!
This class is grateful, I am grateful, my future students will be grateful. Thank you so much for your generosity.”

Funded Apr 18, 2013Headphones for all. Books for all to enjoy. Listening, hearing, understanding, growing, smiling. This project has brought so much impact to my classroom. The students were ecstatic to see the goods inside the 2 BIG boxes we received and they were able to open them up and dig in because of YOU!
Thank you a million times.
My students are able to work quietly, independently with their own materials at their own pace and read enjoy stories that interest their imaginations. Likewise, students are able to work in partners and small groups with less distraction and noise interference to develop their reading skills and spark their creativity. Having a set of headphones for each student has allowed students to take charge of their materials and become responsible for the care and maintenance of the tools. I am also able to share materials with my grade level team to allow all students in kindergarten access to the reading materials and technology.
Without all of your generosity, this would not have been possible. I thank you, my current students thank you and my future students thank you.”

Interactive Games for Interactive Kids
Funded Oct 8, 2012Thank you so much for your generous donation! My students are so excited and continue to ask me about the different games we can "learn with."
It is amazing to see such young minds so eager to play and learn, share and grow together. Your simple donations have helped my students engage in our curriculum and, the best part, ALL students are learning from these games and ALL students are having a great time learning with and from each other.
Thank you again for your generous donation to my students.”

Funded Sep 9, 2012I can't believe it has actually happened! The funding of this project is more than I could dream for and now, my students are having ever fun than ever before. Thank you all for your very generous support. Interacting with their own education in a way that they couldn't do a few months ago has made such an impact on all of my students. The few pictures posted here do not show the true value of this interactive whiteboard.
Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your generosity. I am just as ecstatic as my students to begin using this new technology.”

Now I Can See It!
Funded Feb 1, 2012Woo Hoo!! I am overjoyed with the response I have gotten from both my school community and DonorsChoose. I feel blessed to be an educator and even more blessed to be able to work with a school who believes in my students as much as I do.
Thank you all for your generosity and help getting this project out there and funded! We are so excited to use our ELMO everyday, my brain is pouring with ideas to implement! I am sincerely grateful for your contribution to my classroom. My students are motivated, engaged and excited to use this new tool. Each of my students is benefiting from it each day.
