  • Making Artwork Look Sharp With Sharpie Pens

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness towards our art classroom. We really appreciate the new Sharpie Pens that we have received! My students have utilized these pens already for their Graffiti Mural Drawings inspired by the artist Keith Haring, and the Positive/Negative Insect Drawings inspired by artist MC Escher. My students frequently ask to utilize the Sharpie pens in class to add bold outlines, or emphasis to their work. We will continue to use these pens in class for future projects, including the Pointillism/Stippling Drawings at the end of the school year, inspired by the works of Georges Seurat.”

  • Reward Incentives for Students in Art

    Funded Aug 8, 2023

Thank you so much for your generosity! My students absolutely love their new and improved prize basket. In past years, our prizes were out of date, and consisted of things that my students did not take interest to the items. This year, I showed the prizes and my students were very excited!

My students really look forward to receiving the Art Dollars (our class raffle ticket system) to enter the monthly contest. They even get excited at the end of the month in anticipation of the drawing. They absolutely love the items that were purchased for these prizes, all thanks to you!”

  • Scholastic Art Magazine for Art Scholars

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

Thank you so much for our renewal of the Scholastic Art Magazine. My students love having both the digital and physical classroom for our classroom.

We utilize sections of the digital magazine in our Google classroom so that students can enhance their knowledge about the artists and media we are learning about. We also have the physical copies readily available for students to independently explore during their free choice art time. My students really enjoy reading these magazines and look forward to using them during our class periods.”

  • Posco Pens for 6th-Grade Art Projects

    Funded Jun 23, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations towards the purchase of our new Posco Pens. Although we are slightly behind on our schedule and have not used them yet, they are going to be utilized very soon as we are beginning their new project next week! My students are going to use these paint pens in a few weeks when with the Day of the Dead inspired papier-mache masks. In the past, my students have loved using the paint pens to add small details to their masks, including intricate details and decorations. I cannot wait to share these materials with my students”

    Funded May 9, 2023

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. We never expected to have such a delay in receiving our art supply orders and these supplies have been a HUGE help to getting us started this school year. With these materials, my students can start creating art drawings and getting the creative juices flowing. These basic supplies go a long way especially because they can be used for many different types of artwork. Thank you so much for your generous donation. We desperately needed a new unit for our classroom since our old one had been damaged in a classroom flood. Now students are able to find all the art supplies that are needed for their projects quickly and have a routine that helps them become more independent artists. I cannot wait for my students to utilize this new furniture next year, as my students this year were quite excited to see the beautiful new storage unit. We appreciate you and your kindness!”
