Some of our student's dreams of playing the piano have access to 3 very out of tune and broken keyed pianos. They are also in need of extensive repairs. We use a combination of a bass and guitar amp as a P.A. system for concerts and public meetings as we do not have the funds for our own. Despite our set backs in music instruction, our very talented and ambitious students have asked for and received string instruments from a personal donation and achieved the most amazing result. Our Grade 8 general music students got access to those instruments towards the year's end. They set a goal of playing Pachelbel's Canon for their graduation and did so with little time to prepare and limited instruction. The level of our Grade 8 performers stunned the local community and parents. Notwithstanding those afore mentioned conditions, our school, its local community stake holders and organizations have attempted to provide musically enriched instruction. Our new project is key to move on.
