Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A well-organized classroom helps students feel confident, independent, and ready to learn. In our classroom, reading is a big part of our day, and having accessible, clearly organized materials makes all the difference. When students can easily find their books and store their belongings, it allows us to spend more time focused on learning instead of managing clutter.

My second graders rely on our classroom library and cubbies every single day.

Right now, both are falling apart after 11 years of use and being held together with tape. Our book bins are cracked and worn, making it difficult to keep books organized by genre and level. At the same time, students’ cubby bins are no longer sturdy enough to hold their daily materials, which creates unnecessary mess and frustration during transitions.

Replacing these bins will give my students a fresh, organized space where they can easily find books, take care of their belongings, and build independence. A clean and functional environment helps students stay focused and proud of their classroom. With your support, we can create a space that truly supports their learning and love for reading every single day.
