  • Lunar New Year and Decoding With Og

    Last month, we participated in a week-long Lunar New Year Learning adventure. We had a blast. Reading the books, eating fortune cookies, and completing the activities in the Panda Express Activity booklet created a well-rounded learning experience and many memorable activities.

    We also benefit from our new OG+ literacy resources. We love the variety of skills covered and love the variety of activities.

    The support from Panda Express allowed me to bring Lunar New Year lessons to my class and the other classes in my grade level. We appreciate you. You have improved the future forever.”

  • Book Tower, Books, and Markers

    Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom. This project has helped create a book collection for independent student access. The Book Tower is the perfect solution to store our new decodable books that support our ELA resource.

    The Book Tower has a shelf for each of the 4 Modules of books and 4 sections for each of the 4 sets! It is perfect.

    The markers have provided students with a greater variety of colors for writing and creative tasks. The books in this project allowed students access to new-release stories that inspired more creativity and enhanced their reading options.

  • United Airlines: Support Our Flight Plans

    Thank you so much for donating to this project and supporting my classroom.

    We had a great time learning about the connection between weather and flight plans. We read about the details of a pilot's job and the parts of an airplane and learned about the basic history of planes.

    For our culminating activity, we constructed balsam wood planes and conducted field tests to measure the distance of their flights. Thank you so much for supporting me as I work to improve the future for us all. I appreciate you.”

  • Spread Kindness Like Confetti!

    Funded Nov 22, 2024

    Thank you so much for funding our Community Service Project - Spreading Kindness Like Confetti! My students really enjoyed the entire project from the planning stage, to the creation of kindness packs and finally delivering the treats to bring joy to the community around them.

    We began by developing a project plan to determine who would be responsible for each task through the various stages. Then students worked collaboratively to make kindness packs filled with positive pickles, stickers, mints, and homemade pens. Once all packs were made, students traveled around our community to deliver kindness kits to every teacher around school. We also delivered a giant bag of mints to the middle school next door.

    The smiles on my students' faces were so bright when they returned to the class. They really enjoyed sharing joy with the community beyond our classroom. In addition, the teachers where thrilled to receive little treats. This project taught us all so much and I appreciate your support in bringing it to life.”

  • Help Us Regulate Our Feelings & Emotions

    This project has positively impacted The Kindness Kingdom in so many ways! My students have a safe place to go when big feelings arise. They also have tools to support them through their feelings so they can learn tools to cope when other feelings come up.

    The books have added several positive stories to our classroom library. It is fun to see my readers select books about feelings and excitedly share the books with their friends.

Our urban school is located in a densely populated area, but my students are motivated to create a successful future for themselves! Picture this, highly-motivated students growing up in high poverty, but they are always seeking out ways to donate to those who are less fortunate then them. They are always willing to give back to the community! They enjoy learning opportunities that push them to think and act beyond their comfort zones. Access to additional resources helps them expand their world view!

About my class
