Taking Technology to the Next Level!
Funded Mar 7, 2018Thank you so very much for our Osmo kits (these come with number tiles and a base. An iPad stands up in the base and whatever the students are putting on the table can be seen on the iPad). My younger students LOVE these. Sometimes my older students do too, depending on what we are learning. We also really love our Sphero Minis. These are neat because they can be controlled on the iPad, and even sometimes by your facial expressions. The cases that came with them help us keep all the little pieces nice and organized. Sometimes math is about more than numbers and arithmetic and we are so grateful to be able to incorporate coding. Doing hands-on, fun activities really helps the learning stick. We are having so much fun learning thanks to kind, generous, and supportive people like yourselves. Thank you for contributing to our classroom. We appreciate you beyond measure!”

Ms. Cohn

Funded Oct 18, 2017Thank you so very much for your contribution to our classroom. Thanks to you we were able to receive over 30 new books, many or which were beautiful hardcover editions. We have already used many of these to help introduce STEM lessons and get us "hooked" about some math and science integration when it comes to making crayons.
We really loved the book After the Fall (even the 5th graders) since it was about Humpty Dumpty, but from a different perspective. Because these books are brand new, we are actually interested in hearing them. In the book, After the Fall, Humpty Dumpty makes a paper airplane. After reading this book, we also made paper airplanes, but we wrote our goals for the new year on our paper first. Then, we used a QR code to scan to get to a site called Fold n' Fly. We got to experiment with different kinds of paper airplanes. It was very neat because we were using technology and exploring on our own, but all thanks to something you had donated.
Because of generous people like you and books we were able to become better thinkers, explorers, and inventors. Did you know all of that could happen in a math classroom?
Our teacher is pretty clever. Thanks for supporting her.”

Funded May 22, 2017I (as well as my students) cannot begin to thank you enough for your contribution to our classroom. I know that the contributions came back in May, but the products and materials for our room arrived during the first week of school, and it definitely added for excitement.
I cannot believe the first week of school was already almost an entire month ago. The year is flying. Let me tell what we've done and what we're going to be doing. In my own classroom, we have already read some of the books (Iggy Peck Architect and Ada Twist, Scientist ”

Funded Jun 9, 2014We cannot thank you enough for the materials you helped provide our classroom. We use our electronics daily for reading and math, but especially love the math games we are able to play on our iPad and hope one day our teach can get more iPads because those games are super fun. The books that Ms. Cohn was able to get for science lessons are absolutely amazing for each unit and we LOVE learning from them. They are so great for supporting non-fiction. Thank you so much for everything you did to help support our education.”
