  • Future Google Innovators at Work!

    Funded Oct 16, 2017

We cannot thank you enough for generously funding our original Google Innovators project. Students have been using the Chromebooks for research, Google classroom assignments, and learning how to type properly. We are so thankful that we have people that care so much to support our educational dreams. My students have thoroughly enjoyed learning to use these computers each day. Without having these, my vision to teach students to use Google Classroom would not have been able to happen. Now, I can assign work and students and their parents can access from home if needed to work on it. Our students have also been able to work collaboratively with other peers on things through the Google apps to create incredible projects. From the bottoms of our hearts, thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rodriguez

  • iUse Technology In The Classroom!

    Funded Aug 25, 2014

Thank you for this incredible and effective tool for my interactive classroom! My students love using the iPads for many different things including research, group activities, classroom stations, and even during our small group instruction. We use these iPads all day long every day of the week.

Throughout the day, my students have the opportunity to take turns using the iPad. For example, in the pictures you see we were learning about one of the most incredibly difficult lessons, text structure. These iPads gave me the ability to incorporate technology into the lesson! My students were able to self check their work using the QR codes and also read different pieces of text to expose them to various text structures. Words cannot express how valuable this lesson was due to the iPads being used.

From science to reading, these iPads have truly made a huge impact on student learning within my classroom. We have used the iPads to hone in on math skills like multiplication and division, and even fractions! We have also used these as a tool for performing research on planets, biomes, people of government positions, and animals. The impact for future uses is immeasurable as well. I hope to incorporate these iPads into even more areas. Thank you again for investing in our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rodriguez

  • Writing Under Construction- Detour Here!

    Funded Sep 27, 2013

There is honestly no amount of "thank you" that could be adequate for the thanks I feel toward your generosity. I am so excited when my students are able to publish their hard work and research using the printer and supplies purchased with this grant. From researching biome projects and typing up notes to help them with presentations to typing and publishing their very first how-to report, this grant has helped make that possible!

Their excitement and curiosity continues to grow each day and your donation has helped me grant that to them!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rodriguez

Located in a Title I school in a very rural area of Florida, you will find my creative and vibrant magnet third graders. They think outside the box and constantly require and enjoy challenges in the classroom. My students are deep thinkers and want to know how everything works and why. They truly love to learn and show this through their enthusiastic attitudes in whatever we are doing. The writing process has been an exciting topic for our classroom and they write joyfully in their writing journals every day. My students have started to learn about the typing process and they are intrigued by the editing and creative features of the word processing programs. Which is why I believe that the knowledge and memories gained from this DonorsChoose project would be invaluable.
