My students are some of the happiest kids you will ever meet. We come from a low economic community where over 60% of our students are on free or reduced-price lunches.
My students are extremely active and love to explore challenges and hands on learning projects.
I teach math, and getting my students to fall in love with the subject can be a challenge. But, every year I see the eyes of so many of my students light up when they walk in my classroom. They begin to become mathematicians and question new ways of thinking, explore new mindsets and push each other.
Some of them face so many unbelievable heartaches throughout the year, yet the show up every day. They show up with more grit and passion to better themselves than many adults I know.
They deserve the WORLD! And I want to give it to them!
My Project
I have a vision for my classroom to be full of flexible seating. Seating for the flexible seating tables are desperately needed.
My students are very active and enjoy getting out of their desk and exploring while learning.
They grow very tired of sitting in desk all day and not getting to stretch their legs and move around through out the lesson.
These bar stools would provide seating for tall pup tables in my classroom. Studies have proven that when kids can move while learning, they are more likely to be successful in that classroom.
