This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school, my students face many challenges both in and out of the classroom. This year has provided some additional adversity for my students and their families during the time of remote learning.
I want to provide my students with the supplies they need to be successful while returning to school.
My Project
Returning to school in 2021 will be a challenging time for teachers and students. I would like to provide my students with as many supplies as possible to ease the burden on their families.
Basic supplies such as dry erase markers, pencils, cleaning supplies, scissors, Kleenex and markers are always part of the classroom supply list.
By providing these items for students, I will ensure they get off to a successful start in this new school year.
If a student feels prepared and ready for school, success is sure to follow!
