it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

We used to be able to fund assemblies through our PTA, but lately that has not happened. Students benefit from assemblies that are interactive and educational.
Our children are a mixture of English and Spanish language learners.
Our newest endeavor is implementing a duel language program to improve second language acquisition. Giving them many opportunities to hear and use Spanish and English will benefit them greatly.
My Project
Antonio Sacre is an internationally touring storyteller, writer, and solo performance artist based in Los Angeles. He has been a featured storyteller at the Kennedy Center, the National Storytelling Festival, the National Book Festival at the Library of Congress, and museums, schools, libraries, and festivals worldwide. What a great opportunity for our students to meet and listen to a professional story teller in their own school!
Second language acquisition is a tricky thing.
Many children want to learn English, but they all progress at their own pace. By having a storyteller share his own similar experiences, this helps them to understand as well as LAUGH THEIR SOCKS OFF! Antonio is a gem!
