Every kindergarten classroom needs a colorful rug - it makes a classroom warm, inviting and fun!
My students will be a curious bunch of kindergarteners entering a brand new dual immersion program.
As a kindergartener, the more color and fun you can bring in to a room, the more comfortable and ready to participate you will be, and who doesn't want that? We need a rug!
My Project
A carpet like this will greatly change the atmosphere in my classroom. As of now, our classroom does not have as much color as I would like for there to be. Not only that, but the carpet will be used each and every day! When we gather to do our morning routines (calendar time, music, letter sounds, numbers, etc) we gather on the carpet and sit together. Not only will we be learning about our day and reinforcing important concepts, we will also get to sit together and truly become a class.
Fulfilling this project will make an incredible difference in our classroom.
We will have a central location where we will all meet in the mornings and get to be together. Having a rug to sit on and come together as a class makes a big difference in the social atmosphere of a classroom. It helps to create a sense of family and closeness within a classroom. And it gives me, the teacher, a fun place to read books to my students and do our routines every day. With this rug, we will truly be snug!
