Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Fusion House is the ABA autism class at FHS In Boston, Massachusetts. We have 20 of the most outstanding students in the district. Our students love to learn and showcase their unique personalities. Sensory toys are specially designed to stimulate one or more of the senses. Sensory toys may be more appealing to children on the spectrum because they can help the child remain calm and provide the sensory experience they want. Our board games will help foster and establish a sense of community and relationships among our students. Spontaneous conversation can be very difficult for kids on the spectrum and game playing with friends can provide and entry point to conversations our students need to engage in. We are a new program at FHS and are still trying to get the essentials our students need for learning, fun, and healthy living.

We appreciate the response we got for our first DonorsChoose project and are grateful for the generosity of many.

We don't take that for granted and hope to fulfill this ask again with the wonderful people in this community of giving.
