My Students

Penguins, Elephants and Frogs... Oh my! Help my third graders become better readers with a set of Gail Gibbons science books and read-along Cd's.

My students are third graders in a Title 1 school that is located in rural Ohio.

They love to learn and share their knowledge with others! They are becoming more fluent and confident readers every day. They are never too old to listen to a story and their love for animals makes these books a perfect match for them!

My Project

My students love animals, books and technology! This set of Gail Gibbons books with Cd's will allow them to utilize our CD player listening stations independently. They love to listen to books and they'll enjoy being immersed into these books with few distractions. They will be able to take the information they've acquired from these books and apply it to other areas in our curriculum.

My current and future students will use the books.

Having a variety of books will allow students to have more opportunities and choice at the listening station. These opportunities will help improve their reading fluency, comprehension and self-confidence as readers.
