How would you feel if students go from an imaginative idea to physical reality? With your help, students wouldn't need to stop with their computer model. With 3D printing technology, my students would be able to take a paper brainstorm idea to an actual 3D prototype model!
My students are dreamers, makers, designers, artists, students who want to make an impact in the world.
They crave authentic experiences and hands-on approaches. Our school culture supports this type of learning with the project based learning model. Students are able to work collaboratively in groups, drive the direction of their learning, and present their work to an authentic audience.
My Project
My students need a 3D printer and 1 pack plus 2 spools of PLA filament. Students using the design process will be able to take 3D models created in Autodesk and print them with a 3D printer. Students will be able to use the printers in multiple projects and learn the rapid prototyping process as a result. Students will apply their STEM skills, then be able to present them to a business audience.
With your help, students will be able to learn career skills used in current industry.
Students will be able to not just stop with learning content but be able to apply and make their ideas into reality. Through this technology students' creativity is ultimately limitless.
