Ever had to try to see a computer screen from 10 feet away? Maybe you had to crawl over 20 other people to get a better view. Is squinting getting old? It sure is for my second graders!
My students come from all walks of life, from all kinds of families, from all kinds of backgrounds.
We are a happy, little, rural school with a big need for technology upgrades! I feel blessed to have an iPad in our room, but one iPad for 25 students can make it difficult for everyone to see and participate effectively.
My Project
We would love to have a projector in our classroom. Being able to bring a lesson, game, or video to life in front of everyone would be a blessing! Currently, we have the iPad and computer, but we all need to see! We are having to squint and our eyes are tired!
A projector would allow for more interactive whole group lessons, small group lessons, and allow students to take the reins as well!
We would be able to make better use of tools we already have like Discovery Education, YouTube, interactive book websites, and even apps from our iPad that connects to the desktop.
A projector will allow for everyone to Interact, collaborate, communicate, and learn more effectively.
Not only will it reduce eye strain (which is important!), but it will also allow our room to become even more learner-friendly!
