Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Architecture is defined as the science and art of creating buildings and models. My students are very much interested in the field of architecture and working with AutoCAD software, but many fail to see the fruits of their labor because they cannot see what they've created in all three dimensions.
I work at a small high school focused on integrating the field of architecture with all subject areas.
All of our students also take technology courses in AutoCAD--whose introductory class I currently teach.
Unfortunately, many of my students love to work with their hands and are kinesthetic learners. Whenever they create 3D models and floor plans, my students cannot fathom what they have created simply because we cannot print their projects in three dimensions.
My Project
Your donation will provide my classroom with the MakerBot Replicator. The MakerBot Replicator allows my students to print out their three-dimensional designs into professional-quality models so that they may display their work and take their models home. This will be used by not only my students, but all students learning AutoCAD in my school as well.
Please provide my students with this opportunity to actually "feel" the fruits of their labor and give us this piece of technology that will enable them to further explore the field of architecture.
