Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a school counselor and would like to better meet the need of our at-risk and mandated students by seeking materials that will help meet their social emotional needs.(Social Emotional books, board games, Kinetic Sand, Blocks, etc.)
My students are amazing and are in need of additional materials to help them cope on a daily basis with social emotional issues when come to group and individual sessions.
All projects funded will be greatly appreciated. All material will be used to serve not only my 50 students but the school as a whole.
My Project
In order for us to be able to preserve all of our students' work, visuals and hands-on activities, center charts, we need a simple laminating machine that can be used immediately in our classroom. This simple laminating machine can even be used by the children, with supervision. It would not require heat, meaning no electricity or batteries. We would also appreciate the refill cartridges to go with the EZ Laminator. By having our own laminating machine, our special writings, drawings, and self-made literacy and math games would last a lot longer. The students would be able to take them home to play and practice with their parents and/or siblings.
Through the use of a laminator, my students will be able to preserve the work that they do in the class for many years to come as well as share it with their families.
My students parents are always overjoyed to see their children's work and my students love to share their work with their families at the end of each day as we come to the end of the year. Center charts can be perceived as well
