Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students attend a title one school, these students are from a low socioeconomic area and we have homeless students. Most students cannot afford to rent their own instruments.
The students here are students that are homeless or from a low economic area.
The students are amazing and they like playing instruments, they are excited every time they come to orchestra class. They attend a title one school that is a k-8 school. They all would love to be able to have their own instrument to play and not have to share with others.
My Project
My students need 6 violins in 4th through 8th grade to start the new year. These violins donated to these students will boost their confidence and self esteem. Students will also gain knowledge and a talent playing the violin. They will gain responsibility and be able to show off their talents. The activity they will be able to do is perform at concerts and assemblies for friends and family. Students will learn to read notes, how to hold a bow and violin correctly, and learn history behind song they are playing.
The donations will allow more availability of violins to students so they do not have to share with others.
This year 4th grade was added to play strings, which means I have 20 to 25 students in each grade level and my goal is to have enough violins for each students so they don't have to share.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
