This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I would like for all of my students to be on grade level by the end of the year. My greatest challenge in getting them to be on grade level is the availability of materials.
I would describe my school as a place where all learning is expected and encouraged.
All teachers at my school promote learning in all areas and disciplines. My students are very curious and are excited about school and learning. Most of them do not have the necessary supplies required for school, and depend on me or the school to provide them with the things they need.
My Project
With the pencils, erasers, pencil sharpener and copy paper, my students will have the necessary basics that they need to be successful this school year. If we can get the supplies that they need, they will be able to complete their work much more efficiently.
The donations to our project will help improve our classroom in many ways.
With the donations, we will be able to spend more time on math and ELA (English Language Arts) instead of sharpening pencils, finding an eraser, etc.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
