Paper And Pencil Are Bleck, We Want To Be High Tech!

My students need an iPad.

My Students

Paper and pencil are old, out-of-date and boring. Students nowadays need the opportunity to interact with technology. They can do this with the use of an iPad!

My students are in a low socioeconomic middle school science classroom in Idaho.

They are an amazing group of approximately 125 students that would benefit greatly from the use of integrating technology into the classroom with the use of an iPad. This iPad would allow interacting with technology on a daily basis. I've seen the power of technology and the ability it has to engage all. I would love my students to have this opportunity.

My Project

The daily use of an iPad will allow my students to have access to technology as well as the newest/best apps. With this iPad, my students will have access to thousands of iBooks that can help supplement their curriculum. They will also have access to apps that are specific to various topics that we cover in class like earthquakes, weather, volcanoes etc. Children's work will able to be displayed by using the iPad's camera and remotely projected onto a screen. Also with the use of the iPad and an app, the students will be able to remotely interact with the SmartBoard that is in the classroom. Oh the things they will be able to do!

Your donation to my project will make a difference in these students lives by giving them the much needed access to technology on a daily basis to keep up with their peers.

Also, integrating technology into the curriculum will increase their interest in science and engage them with lessons on a daily basis.
