Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are really showing gains with their iReady and weekly assessments scores. I want them to know that when they focus, study and work hard their efforts are greatly appreciated. Many of our students leave home really early in the morning and they don’t return until late in the afternoon. By that time the students are hungry and tired. Having breakfast at 7:30 and lunch at 11 leaves our students really hungry after 12. If we want them to excel academically a little snack would really go a long way.

It has been said that, “If you give a child more than they expect, they will in return give you more than you ever expected!

Giving the students a snack will be an incentive to keep them progressing towards higher scores. The students will receive snacks around 1:30 p.m. this will help them stay focus and continue to excel in their classes.
