I am now teaching a tech savvy generation. One of the newest pieces of technology is the iPad Mini. Two iPad Minis would help to integrate up-to-date technology into my classroom. This would help meet all my students' learning levels.
I teach a diverse group of second graders in a public city school.
We are the largest school system in our urban area. My students come from a variety of neighborhoods sprinkled all over our city. I enjoy teaching a wide range of concepts and skills to students. They come to school excited to learn every day. Many of the students do not have access to current technology at home.
The students work hard every day and deserve new and inviting technology resources. We currently have a few i-devices that we use in our learning stations. We have to rotate using them and students have to take turns with each. Two new iPad Minis would give the students more opportunities to work with digital flash cards, instructional videos, apps that reinforce learning, digital books and new listening stations. The students will also have fun while learning a wide range of skills and concepts. Stack the States app teaches students about geography of our county. The U.S. History Timeline app allows you to view timelines of historical events and create timelines of your own. Motion Math Zoom helps struggling students strengthen math skills with fun games. Two new iPad Minis would also be used as an intervention tool with struggling readers to work on Istation, our board approved reading program.
Having two new iPad Minis in our classroom would help bring up-to-date technology to all my students.
It will help enhance the lessons I teach every day. My students deserve all that we can give them. These iPad Minis can help bridge the gap between technology and learning.
