My classroom went completely remote on March 13th, 2020. Our state and district have not decided on how the upcoming year will look like. We recently were told that the school year will be delayed and may begin online. My students come from diverse backgrounds. Many of my students live with their grandparents and they don't have to the support to help them with math. My students need all the support they can get from me whether it is academic or social and emotional support. If we go back to school for in person classes, my students will not be able to share supplies or manipulatives. If we go to an online platform, I will need to provide my students with a digital curriculum, but it can be enhanced with teacher made manipulatives.
My Project
The items will help students stay safe from the COVID Virus. The masks will keep my students safe from others at all times. These masks are reusable so the students will be able to keep them whether they need them at home or at school. The gloves and wipes will be used when handling mobile devices such as the ipads.
My students will need supplies that cannot be shared and the personalized pencils bags will hold their individualized tools for learning, therefore, keeping them healthy.
My three classes are identified through the 3 separate colors, blue, purple, and green. I will use vinyl to number the pouches so that the bags do not get shared. Each student will have their own pouch with supplies.
