My students need a copy machine so we can continue to provide sheet music and worksheets for band students once we go through the allotted school paper/ink limit.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Each year teachers at my school are given an allotment of copies that can be made for the entire school year. I went through my allotted paper in almost the FIRST WEEK of school due to the fact that I have 300 students and have to copy hundreds of copies of music monthly.
I am currently teaching at a Title 1 school in Central Florida as a band director.
I am honored to be teaching a middle school band of over 300 students!! That's a lot of students and A LOT of copies of music! The school prides itself on it's fine arts programs, which is very exciting considering some schools cut those programs first when money gets tight. Because of the size of the program it requires a lot of copies to be made in order to ensure each student has music, theory worksheets, handbooks, tests, etc. to help develop their musical growth.
My Project
As everyone knows, we are currently in a financial struggle throughout the United States. Everyone has been affected by this struggle, schools included. Each year you can see schools having to make cuts on budgets. One of the budgets being cut at my school are classroom resource allotments given to teachers.
Every teacher has the SAME amount of copies for the year, even though I teacher 3 times as many students as the average teacher at the school. Because of this I went through almost ALL my allotted copies in just the first quarter of the year. Since then I have had some parents help with making copies at their work locations or office supply stores. As much as I appreciate this I feel that the music department should have their own copy machine easily accessible so copies can be made whenever needed. That way when we are reading through music and find a piece we are interested in performing the students can take it home that day and not wait a week or more.
Your donations will help us be able to provide students will the materials they need to perform their best in my classroom.
It would be wonderful to announce to parents that they no longer need to take time out of their lives to go out and make copies. Copies can be provided almost IMMEDIATELY and allow for more time on practicing and less time on waiting for copies to be made through other means. Thank you so much for your support! YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
