A few years ago our district implemented PLTW in the middle and high school. Since that time my students have been learning about design using Autodesk Inventor Pro a 3D modeling software. Unfortunately their ideas can only be conceptualized on the computer.
Adding this technology to our school would greatly impact my students.
We live in a small community in rural Wisconsin. Our students have been successful with the implementation of our PLTW curriculum offering them more opportunities in the STEM areas.
My Project
My design class uses a 3D modeling software to design objects and parts. I envision them being able to rapid prototype the parts and objects using a 3D printer.
In my transportation class we currently buy the wheels for CO2 cars, student would design and print their own wheels
My manufacturing class we only have the ability to do wood processes. I would like use 3D modeling software to design and print 3D models.
Your donations will help to inspire my student to think about what could be, and what could become better.
My students lives will be changed forever because they will learn to use technologies that help to become engineers.
