Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classrooms that our teachers strive to create. We all know that the pandemic affected students dramatically in reading levels. Our combined school effort helped us raise enough money to fund a book vending machine. Our task now is to keep the machine fully stocked with books hand-picked for everyone's individual taste and reading level. All of these books have been chosen with our students in mind and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students can choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time and promote positive behaviors and support a love of reading.

With these new books, our students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level and best of all they will be able to keep them and share them with their loved ones.

They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.
